UMW Toyota Motor’s cumulative sales cross 70,000 level

UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT) remains a key player in the Malaysian automotive market with its consistently high monthly volumes. With a sales volume of around 7,700 units (inclusive of Lexus models) in September, the company’s cumulative volume for 9 months of this year has passed the 70,000-unit level to over 72,000 units.

The consistent sales numbers are indicative of the appealing range of models that cover a broad spectrum of the market. These models meet the diverse needs of Malaysian customers, whether for everyday urban driving or for recreational outdoor activities, or even for commercial purposes.

The most popular models are the Vios, Hilux and Corolla Cross, accounting for 69% of vehicles sold. In support of Toyota Motor Corporation’s multi-pathway approach, UMWT’s range includes electrified models. This approach offers diverse eco-friendly vehicle technologies to cater to different usage needs, economic circumstances, energy sources, and infrastructure readiness.
