Motorists wishing to travel to Merdeka 118 (the world’s second tallest tower) next to Merdeka Stadium in Kuala Lumpur can now connect directly via the newly opened Belfield Tunnel. This new 1-km route which bypasses congested roads can be accessed via 2 entry points. These are, Jalan Syed Putra and Jalan Damansara.
The 2-storey tunnel (one of only two in Malaysia) leads directly into basement car park 4 of Menara Merdeka 118. For departures, vehicles exit from basement car park 5 through 2 designated exits to Jalan Syed Putra and Jalan Istana. The carpark area can accommodate up to 8,000 vehicles.
