Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) today presented its 2024 Dream Cars Collection which brings together the latest models at the topmost end of the brand. While the German brand, which has its origins dating back to the first motorcar, is typically associated with luxury, there is also a high performance side, thanks to the products from Mercedes-AMG.
The latest collection consists of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC, Mercedes-AMG S 63 E PERFORMANCE, Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4MATIC, and the CLE 300 4MATIC Coupe.
Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC – from RM1,918,888
The new Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC combines the strengths of the GLS with the exclusivity of Maybach. Every design feature distinguishes the model as being in the topmost segment of the market.
Standard features include ambient lighting with animated projection of the Mercedes-Maybach pattern, AIRMATIC package, E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL, MULTIBEAM LED, panoramic sliding sunroof, MAGIC VISION CONTROL, and powered door-closing. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with GUARD 360° Vehicle protection Plus and Driving Assistance Package. The 23-inch Maybach multi-spoke forged wheels combine exclusive design with technology from motorsport.
Inside, a new design for the seat covers emphasizes the particularly luxurious character of the brand. The Executive seats, provide a continuous reclining surface for a comfortable sleeping position with the Acoustic Comfort Package ensuring the environment is quiet and calm.
The MANUFAKTUR leather package includes extensive nappa leather upholstery throughout the interior, including upholstery cushions, roof liner and front seat console. Naturally, this model would have the latest generation MBUX with augmented reality for navigation.
Mercedes-AMG S 63 E PERFORMANCE – from RM2,232,888
The Mercedes-AMG S 63 E PERFORMANCE has an electrified powertrain which combines the AMG 4-litre V8 biturbo engine with the AMG high-performance battery. With a total system output of 802 ps/1,430 Nm, this full-sized sedan can go from standstill to 100 km/h in a claimed 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 290 km/h.
Standard features are AMG RIDE CONTROL+ air suspension, AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL roll stabilization and active rear-axle steering, with 21-inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels.
The car is also equipped with an AMG high-performance ceramic composite braking system, AMG Active Ride Control and DIGITAL LIGHT, as well as 3° rear-axle steering.
Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4MATIC – from RM999,888
Regarded as ‘the S-Class of the SUVs’, the GLS 450 4MATIC offers luxury combined with the adventurous image of SUV (along with the off-road capabilities). The latest version has a more striking radiator grille with the four louvres galvanised in high-quality Silver Shadow. At the rear, the lights take the form of with three horizontal blocks.
The 7-seater SUV comes with multi-contour rear seats featuring rough leather/leather upholstery. The latest generation of MBUX includes a High-End Rear Seat Entertainment System, with Burmester surround sound system.
Mercedes-Benz CLE 300 4MATIC Coupe – from RM526,000 (estimated)
This is a new model line – the CLE-Class – which combines the coupe variants of the C-Class and E-Class. It’s not officially launched as JPJ approval is pending but MBM decided to give a preview.
It has the typical proportions and form of a coupe (a cabriolet is also available) with the Sensual Purity design language of Mercedes-Benz. This is the first Mercedes-Benz model in Malaysia to feature DIGITAL LIGHT with projection function, expanding the capabilities of the lighting system.
Eye-catchers in the cockpit are the free-standing 12.3-inch fully digital instrument panel and the 11.9-inch central display in user-friendly portrait format. A head-up display is standard, giving the driver an alternate source of information about the car’s important operations.
