Maintenance is an important part of owning a motor vehicle, especially if you intend to keep the vehicle over a long period. Though today’s vehicles are built to be lasting, periodic maintenance and service are still necessary to replace worn parts and keep the car running properly.
Sometimes, due to circumstances that may be unforeseen, it becomes difficult to cover expenses such as vehicle maintenance and owners may be forced to set this aside. Now, with Direct Lending’s Auto Service Financing Plan, vehicle owners have increased flexibility in managing their service and repair expenses with a repayment period of up to 12 months.
This is an initiative by Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad, in collaboration with Direct Lending, a leading Malaysian digital lending platform, which is a Shariah-compliant, fully digital auto service financing plan at their Nissan Service Centres throughout Malaysia (initially at 10 service centres).
“The safety of our customers is our highest priority. By partnering with Direct Lending, we can ensure that our customers have the financial flexibility to maintain their vehicles in optimal condition, hence contributing to a safer drive,” said Daniel Ho Wai Ming, Group CEO of Tan Chong.
In line with its commitment to provide Nissan owners with a seamless experience at their service centres, Tan Chong customers can now have their financial eligibility checked and documents validated via the online platform with immediate financing secured compared to traditional financing options.
With just 3 easy steps, applicants can swiftly secure financing by filling in their details, and submitting their identification card along with the last 3 months’ bank statements. They can then finalise the process by making the first payment, set up monthly payments and sign the financing agreement – all done digitally via a smartphone.
“We are honoured to offer an instalment plan that adheres to Shariah principles, benefiting everyone including valued customers of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad. This partnership aims to alleviate the financial burden of vehicle maintenance — worn or damaged components can be detrimental to the car’s performance, putting drivers, passengers and other road users at risk. We hope that by presenting a more inclusive and user-friendly option for Malaysians, we will enhance their overall vehicle ownership journey and ensure a safer driving experience for all,” said Hui Yik Seong, Founder of Direct Lending.
