With the monsoon season once again in full force, flooding has been occurring in many parts of the country. Some areas are severely affected and the latest reports suggest that the situation is even worse than the floods of 2014.
For those who own motor vehicles, hopefully, most were able to get their vehicles to somewhere safe. But there are definitely many who were unfortunate to have their vehicles submerged in flood waters, as pictures show.
For those who are Volkswagen owners, there is some good news: Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) will offer support as part of its Volkswagen Cares initiative. From now until March 31, 2025, owners who require repairs or replacements to be made on their flood-affected vehicles can get a 30% discount on genuine Volkswagen parts. This offer is only available at authorised Volkswagen service centres throughout the country.
Additionally, VPCM is also providing a complimentary vehicle inspection to assess the extent of flood damage and recommend necessary repairs. This service aims to ensure the safety and reliability of all affected vehicles as part of its comprehensive aftersales care programme.
To ease the burden of settling the repair bill, VPCM is offering an easy payment plan where owners can spread their repayments over 6 or 12 months at 0% interest. This initiative underscores Volkswagen’s commitment to customer care during challenging times whilst ensuring peace of mind.
If you are a Volkswagen owner and wish to make use of the support offered, you should first download the Volkswagen Cares App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Once installed on your device, you can redeem their flood relief support voucher and book an appointment. The App also provides access to a range of other benefits and services designed to enhance the Volkswagen ownership experience.
