The smart EV brand is not new in Malaysia and was relaunched last year with a totally revitalised model, the #1. Officially launched in the local market just last November, the #1’s popularity is clear as its sales numbers place it in No.3 position (according to smart Malaysia) in the EV SUV category for models priced above RM180,000.

The strong positive reception for the #1 (100 units sold and delivered within the first month) is attributed to a combination of factors. These include its premium brand DNA inherited from Mercedes-Benz Design, unique selling propositions and comprehensive highly functional ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).
Additionally, smart Malaysia is collaborating with key charging station providers to ensure that owners have easy access to recharging facilities around the country. This is made even easier with the Hello smart app which shows 70% of the currently available charging stations.
There are 3 models in the current #1 range – #1 Pro and Premium priced (without insurance) from RM189,000 and RM219,000, respectively, and the #1 BRABUS which is priced from RM249,000.
