Comprehensive assurance and certification process
It now has the Ford Assured programme which is a comprehensive assurance and certification process that ensures pre-owned Ford vehicles meet stringent quality and performance standards. This programme is tailored to enhance the overall pre-owned vehicle buying experience for customers, reinforcing Ford’s commitment to quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
To be certified as ‘Ford Assured’, the vehicle must firstly be not more than 5 years old and also have mileage less than 140,000 kms for the Ranger (80,000 kms for the Everest). The vehicle should also have been serviced in accordance with the Ford service schedule and its history should be available for verification.
96-point inspection
Certified technicians will also inspect each vehicle using a 96-point checklist which covers mechanical performance to cosmetic appearance. Should any area require refurbishment, this will be done to professional standards that are consistent for every certified pre-owned Ford vehicle.
12-month warranty
The Ford Assured Programme includes a minimum 12-month warranty covering the engine and gearbox, subject to terms and conditions. The warranty stipulates that vehicle parts must not be replaced or modified by third parties and the vehicle must be serviced, maintained, and repaired by authorised Ford dealers at recommended service intervals during the 12 months.
