To show Ranger and Ranger Raptor owners in Sabah just what those capabilities are, Ford distributor Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC) is offering the Ranger Training Experience this Sunday (July 23).
The event, part of Ford Ranger Getaways program, will be held at the Likas Complex Area in Kota Kinabalu. During the 5-hour session, owners will receive demonstrations and guidance from trained driving instructors covering tarmac and off-road scenarios.
The Ranger Training Experience aims to provide an engaging way for owners to learn about and explore the capabilities of their Rangers or Raptors. They will learn, among other things, valuable tips and tricks on seating and steering methods while discovering handy features they may not have known about their trucks.
Hands-on sessions
They will also have the chance to test their driving skills at the custom-built obstacle course. During the hands-on sessions, they will travel over different types of terrain like extreme inclines, mud/ruts and rocky surfaces, which will require the use of their 4×4 systems.
The owners will also have a chance to learn drifting at high speeds. This is a skill which needs practice and once learnt, it can be satisfying to be in control as the truck slides sideways. Of course, it should only be done on smooth level ground and not uneven surfaces as there will then be a risk of flipping over.
