SAIC Motor Malaysia (SMM), the subsidiary of China’s SAIC Motor which handles the MG Motor brand in Malaysia, has seen steady growth in its customer base since entering the market at the beginning of 2024.
With the growing number of owners, the need for replacement parts becomes important because it is an aftersales commitment.
To meet this commitment and ensure ownership satisfaction, SMM has established a warehouse in the Klang Valley for MG parts.
The parts cover all the models it has launched which, to date, are the MG4 EV, MG ZS EV, MG5 Sedan, MG HS SUV. The company says it is also stocking parts for the Cyberster EV roadster to be available soon.
Over 22,000 parts in stock
With over 4,500 SKUs (the total number of item types) and more than 22,000 stocked parts, SMM expects to enhance service efficiency with faster repairs for MG owners at the 12 authorised service dealerships already operating (with 13 more opening soon).
All the dealerships are stocked with essential MG parts, ensuring that customers experience minimal wait times and seamless service support whenever they visit for maintenance.
SMM’s partnership with a leading logistics provider ensures prompt and regular deliveries of parts to each service centre.
Each service centre has personnel trained to look after MG vehicles and there are already 39 certified MG technicians with more to come.
