Pos Aviation evaluating use of EVs at KLIA

Pos Aviation, a Pos Malaysia subsidiary involved in airport ground handling services, is carrying out a proof-of-concept (POC) trial of electric vehicles. The trial at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminals 1 & 2 is a pioneering initiative which demonstrates the company’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact and enhancing operational efficiency.

For the POC trial, the Hangcha Aviation Tractor is being tested in actual airport operating conditions. The primary objective is to assess the viability and advantages of transitioning from Pos Aviation’s existing fleet of over 60 diesel-powered tractors to environmentally-friendly EVs.
