Perodua Sales partners PETRONAS Dagangan and Gentari

Perodua has had a long relationship with PETRONAS Dagangan Bhd going back to the days when the national oil corporation’s unit developed lubricants for the automaker. Over the years, the relationship has continued to grow and recently, the two companies signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the retail experience for its customers through the integration of various services.

The MoUs were signed between Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd, PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad and Gentari Sdn Bhd (an independent clean energy solutions entity founded by PETRONAS). The first MoU – signed between Perodua Sales and PETRONAS Lubricants Marketing Sdn Bhd (PLMMSB), MESRA Retail & Cafe Sdn Bhd and Setel Ventures Sdn Bhd – will provide Perodua customers access to new services at its service centres.

This includes the integration of Setel’s digital payment feature into Perodua’s UFirst app; the establishment of MESRA for added convenience; and the set-up of Perodua service centres at selected PETRONAS stations.

Soon, selected PETRONAS stations will have Perodua service centres, making it more convenient for owners.

Partners for over 20 years
“Perodua Sales and PLMMSB have been partners for over 20 years and that partnership has proven mutually beneficial and we will further expand this partnership that will benefit our valued customers,” said Perodua President & CEO, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

Sole provider of Perodua lubricants
Since 2003, PLMMSB has been the sole provider of all vehicle lubricants to Perodua Sales. In line with the country’s shift towards green mobility, both Perodua Sales and PLMMSB are to collaborate for a stronger commitment on sustainability-driven practices.

Charging stations at Perodua outlets soon
He said that the collaboration with Gentari would allow Gentari to set up charging facilities at Perodua service centres for the upcoming launch of Perodua’s EV, supporting Perodua customers in the transition to EVs.
