Only Bentley Bentayga Umbra in SE Asia is for Malaysia

Owning a Bentley – any Bentley – is already special and for those who want even more exclusivity, Mulliner, the automaker’s bespoke coachbuilding arm, can provide the required services for personalisation.

Mulliner works with customers and also develops special editions of Bentley models in limited numbers. These include the Batur, Bacalar and Speed Six continuation series.

One of the latest is the Bentayga Umbra, of which there are only 10 units available worldwide. Six units have been allocated for the Asia Pacific region with just one for Southeast Asia – and that single unit is now in Malaysia.

The arrival of the only Bentayga Umbra in Malaysia follows the Continental GT Le Mans Collection Edition in Malaysia earlier this year.

The Bentayga Umbra is a more supreme example of the craftsmanship of Mulliner. It makes a striking first impression with a brooding Hallmark exterior that incorporates a Beluga painted front bumper with a fade design – a world-first for any Bentley.

The Tri-Tone Styling Specification that the model features has a Cyber Yellow accent pinstripe running along the sleek carbonfibre bodykit and rear wing, giving it an eye-catching contrast against the dark and moody exterior.

This vibrant contrast is seen on the wing mirror caps sporting Cyber Yellow accents that accentuate its geometric shape. The accent colour also features against the black 22-inch S wheel, which also sports a self-levelling wheel badge by Mulliner.

Within the Bentayga Umbra, the moody feel is echoed in the pairing of a Porpoise main hide with a Beluga secondary hide. The dramatic fade design on the front bumper is also seen in a specially created digital fade perforation pattern on the quilted areas and headrests – another first for Bentley. All veneered surfaces feature a High Gloss Carbonfibre Veneer to truly reflect the elegant power of the luxury SUV.

The striking Cyber Yellow accents is seen throughout the interior, forming dramatic contrasts round the cabin. From the accent hide and seat emblems to the painted veneered carriers and overmat micropiping, Bentley’s attention to design detail is clear in the exquisite touches that include the satin black and silver grilles on the Bang & Olufsen speakers.

The sole unit available in Malaysia comes with a 4-litre twin-turbo petrol engine with output of 550 ps/750 Nm, and an 8-speed automatic transmission with all-wheel drive.

The selling price is listed as RM3,677,500 with estimated import duty, excise and sales tax but not insurance premium and roadtax.
