Nissan has revealed the fourth generation of one of its earlier SUVs, the Murano. The model, built in the USA and China (by Dongfeng Nissan), will go on sale in early 2025.
It has been designed with the theme of ‘Energetic Elegance’ – with a sleek and modern exterior accentuated by 21-inch wheels, full-width LED tail lights and 2-tone paintwork. The interior features soft-touch, finely detailed materials throughout; dual, high-definition 12.3-inch displays; and upscale features such as 64-colour ambient lighting and front seats with massage function.
There is only one engine option – a 2-litre VC-Turbo (Variable-Compression Turbo) petrol engine with 241 bhp/352 Nm, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Customers have a choice of front-wheel drive or Intelligent All-Wheel Drive.
To help improve ride and handling, the new Murano adopts frequency sensitive dampers in its suspension and switches to electric power steering.
Standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 plus ProPILOT Assist make motoring safer and easier. Two new technologies for the model are Invisible Hood View (which allows for a virtual view through the engine bay for precise navigation), and 3D Around View Monitor, which provides 8 virtual vantage points around the vehicle when parking or maneuvering.
