New Vice-President for Marketing & Sales at Mercedes-Benz Malaysia

Nadia Trimmel has joined Mercedes-Benz Malaysia as its new Vice-President for Marketing & Sales, including the SEA II markets. She takes over from Bettina Plangger, who has taken on a Strategic Project assignment within Region Overseas in Stuttgart, Germany.

Ms Trimmel’s career in the auto industry spans nearly 25 years, during time she has had key roles within marketing, sales and aftersales at Ford and Nissan. She joined Mercedes-Benz in 2014 as General Manager Sales and assumed the role of Managing Director Mercedes-Benz Vans South Africa two and half years later.

She was instrumental to the success of the Van division, expertly guiding the Mercedes-Benz Vans business operations during her tenure in South Africa. Notably, she spearheaded the transition of the first market, South Africa, to the Retail of the Future model with private vans in 2018. .

Focusing on key performance outcomes, Trimmel has established and refined the drivers of success. Her strategic optimisation of resources has been central to achieving targeted sales and financial objectives.

She has also served as an integral member of the Mercedes-Benz South Africa Executive Committee since 2017.
