Mr. Yoshimura returns to Japan after some time overseas (he was in Thailand and Pakistan before coming to Malaysia) and will take on a new role in the head office. During his time in Malaysia, the COVID-19 pandemic was on and he navigated the company through a challenging post-pandemic environment. He played a key role in maintaining Honda Malaysia’s leading position in the Non-National Passenger Vehicle segment for 11 consecutive years, introducing new models that have topped their respective segments and also further growing the e:HEV (hybrid electric) model range.
