When Chery made plans to enter the Malaysian market again, it wanted to make sure that it would have a presence all over the country. Not only to introduce its new models but also to have after sales services close to customers. Before September last year, there were 23 Chery outlets, of which almost half were 3S, which provide both sales and aftersales.
The push to quickly grow the network continued during the fourth quarter and by the end of the year, there were 31 outlets, of which 18 are 3S or 4S (which have body repair services as well). This year, another 16 outlets will be added and they will be only 3S or 4S.
Expanding in East Malaysia too
In expanding its network, Chery Malaysia has not forgotten East Malaysia and one of the 16 new outlets recently opened in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Owned and operated by dealer-partner Universal Chery Sdn Bhd., the outlet is situated along Jalan Limau Manis (off Jalan Lintas Inanam) in the state capital.
On the 1,400 sq. metre built-up area is a showroom and customer lounge which can provide all the services customers will require when considering a model from the range currently available which consists of the Tiggo 8 Pro, OMODA 5 and OMODA E5 EV (with more to come).
Full aftersales support
Those who own a Chery vehicle can obtain aftersales support at the service centre which has 8 bays to handle up to 830 vehicle a month, with professional services from trained technicians. Should they wish to wait, they can do so in a comfortable lounge with amenities.
