2024 looks like it will be the Year of the EV in Malaysia as more models are launched in the market (the most recent being the BYD Seal) and a few more companies – like MG Motor – will also enter the market to sell these zero-emission vehicles.
But is an EV right for you? For some, it may be while for others, various factors may make owning an EV impractical. You can go to the showrooms and get a test-drive but it will be short. What you need to do is ‘live’ with an EV for a while, but no car company is likely to let you do that.
However, there is another way offered by GoCar Malaysia with its GoCar Share programme. This programme offers many different models, including EVs, which are available for short-term use. It is certainly a better way that buying a new EV and being committed to repaying a loan – and find that you made a mistake getting one.
Collaboration with GreenTech
GoCar Malaysia today announces a new offering for the ORA Good Cat EV which is in collaboration with Yinson GreenTech (YGT). Using the GoCar Share programme, the Good Car will be available for bookings (round-trip) for RM23.90 an hour, and from only RM157 a day.
Free access to chargEV stations
During the period of use, the customers will have free access to all stand-alone AC charging stations in YGT’s network called chargEV. At this time, the Good Cat will be available for bookings at selected locations in Klang Valley city centres, namely Berjaya Times Square, The Linc, Lalaport KL, Eco Ardence, Eco Grandeur and GoCar Malaysia in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
