Kia EV9 to be launched in Malaysia, bookings accepted now

Dinamikjaya Motors will be launching the Kia EV9, 2024 World Car of the Year (and also Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year), before the middle of the year, and  authorised dealers are now accepting bookings.

The model has been launched in Thailand with a price equivalent to around RM460,000 and as it is an EV, it is entitled full duty-exemption when imported and sold in Malaysia. So the price could be under RM400,000 and there may be more than one variant to choose from.

The EV9 cabin can have a 6-seat or 7-seat layout. RWD and AWD drivetrains are available with battery pack capacities of 76.1 kWh or 99.8 kWh. The claimed range is up to 563 kms, with DC fast charging (up to 235 kW) said to take 24 minutes 10% – 80%.
