JAECOO Malaysia has not started selling its SUVs yet but it certainly involved in a lot of activities which undoubtedly help create awareness of the new brand. Besides having a presence at the recent Malaysia Autoshow 2024, the company which represents the brand from China was the presenting partner of the POWERMAN Malaysia 2024 held in Putrajaya.
Billed as the World’s Biggest Duathlon, the event saw the best local and international runners and cyclists from across the globe starting off from Dataran Putrajaya in the country’s administrative capital. This year’s edition was the 19th and attracted over 4,000 hobby and elite duathletes.
30 nationalities of participants
The participants, made up of 30 nationalities, competed on the streets of Putrajaya in the gruelling run-bike-run format with multiple distance categories. These included a Classic distance (10 km run, 60 km bike and 10 km run) and a Short distance category (5 km run, 30 km bike and 5 km run), as well as 3 POWERKIDS categories for the youngsters (aged 6 to 15).
The event also welcomed 20 children with physical disabilities and special needs, who were cheered on by the spectators and participants.

Although JAECOO Malaysia has yet to begin selling its first product – the J7 premium SUV – members of the public had a chance to experience the model at the event over the weekend.
The J7 will be priced at between RM150,000 and RM160,000, with 2-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions available. Bookings can be made at authorised JAECOO dealers throughout Malaysia.
