Honda Malaysia will soon launch its first fully electric model. This is the e:N1 which was previewed at the 2024 KL International Mobility Show. The price has not been announced yet but bookings are now being accepted online at prebook.honda.com.my or through the HondaTouch application.
The company has also assigned 8 authorised Honda dealerships to provide customers with more information on the e:N1.

Honda Malaysia was the first company to assemble an electrified model (the Jazz Hybrid) in Malaysia in 2012. However, it seems that for now, it will be importing the e:N1 from Thailand where production began last year. The e:N1 will be the first of 3 fully electric models Honda will launch in Malaysia between now and 2027.
Duty-free retail price
The duty-exemption for fully electric vehicles will continue to the end of this year, after which only models assembled locally will continue to have the incentive. Perhaps Honda Malaysia will assess demand iduring the remaining 8 months of this year and see if it is viable to invest in local assembly at its own plant in Melaka.
Similar size to HR-V
Size-wise, the SUV measures 4380 mm in length, width of 1790 mm and a wheelbase of 2610 mm. Its roofline is at 1592 mm while ground clearance is 135 mm. This makes it almost the same size as the HR-V which is also available with an electrified e:HEV powertrain.
The e:N1 is built on the new e:N Architecture F, a front-wheel-drive platform with a high-performance electric motor, large-capacity battery for extended range and rigid body structure designed specifically for Honda EVs.
Up to 500 kms range
Powered by a 68.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, the powertrain generates 150 kW (204 ps)/310 Nm and has a driving range claimed to be up to 500 kms.
