Following the global debut of the new Macan in Singapore in January, another significant Porsche event also took place in the republic – the opening of the brand-new Porsche Studio Singapore.
Porsche Studios are urban retail formats with warm and welcoming environments for customers and fans to engage with the brand. Located within the prestigious Guoco Midtown mixed development, close to the Bugis heritage district in downtown Singapore, the new Studio has a 2-storey showroom spanning almost 8,500 sq. feet.
Unique Singapore touches
Porsche Studio Singapore introduces a different approach to automotive retail in Singapore, starting with a sleek and modern design with unique Singaporean touches such as ‘breeze block’ design motifs inspired by old local architecture, and bamboo-inspired veneers garnished across selected areas of the Studio.
The Porsche Lifestyle concept store starts with a walkthrough ‘tunnel,’ filled with creative displays. This new retail concept is the first of its kind in the Porsche world.
To mark the opening of Porsche Studio Singapore, an exclusive Porsche ‘Prototyp’ collection – inspired by the ‘Active Camouflage’’ wraps of prototype test vehicles – is currently being showcased.
Car lift within premises
A built-in car lift within the premises moves cars around the Studio – another unique concept in the Porsche world. Like the sportscars, the lift fulfils both form and function with its presence; in addition to moving display cars, the space can also be decorated to suit different themes.
On the second floor of the showroom, more modular spaces can be configured in different ways to enable a diverse range of activities: from yoga classes to product trainings and presentations; keynote speeches in front of full-length LED walls; and e-sports races on state-of-the-art simulators. On request, the entire length of the Studio can even be transformed seamlessly into a chic catwalk for a fashion show extravaganza.
A place to work or relax
Porsche Studio Singapore also aims to become the home for Porsche faithful. Co-working spaces are available for Porsche enthusiasts to, with a rich library that encapsulates Porsche’s illustrious heritage, or work remotely in an environment designed for both passion and productivity.
For those who get hungry or thirsty, there’s no need to leave the showroom. Cafe Carrera, operated by Baker & Cook, is just a few steps away – another world-first concept within a Porsche Studio. While enjoying a meal or drink, they can admire the iconic sportscars around the dining area.
Coming soon – Porsche & Pretzels
Outside, community spaces such as the Plaza and special event spaces at Midtown Square provide convenient settings for community gatherings such as Cars & Coffee. Already in the works is the Porsche Studio Singapore weekly get-together – Porsches & Pretzels – an open invite to the local community to share passion for Porsche and foster connections among enthusiasts.
A special delivery experience
For those who want to buy a new Porsche (or add another to their collection), Porsche Studio Singapore has the full range of services for them to individualize their model or take a test-drive. And when their car is ready for delivery, there are two exclusive bays six floors above the Studio where they can enjoy ‘the most elevated delivery experience in the Porsche world’.
Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Marina Bay area, each delivery bay also brings amazing theatricality to the traditional delivery experience, creating a pitch-black ‘reveal moment’ and a dazzling light show for any new Porsche owner before the keys are handed over.
