MG will launch a new redesigned HS at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed in England on July 11.
Details of the new SUV have not been released but the automaker has provided a short video as a teaser which gives a general idea of what it will look like.
The space within is said to be enhanced and there will be new driver-focussed technology
As with the current HS, MG will offer the new model with two powertrain choices – petrol combustion engine alone and plug-in hybrid electric.
Like many of the other Chinese automakers (MG is a British brand but owned by SAIC since 2005), MG’s is not limited to fully electric models and there are also models with combustion engine and electrified powertrains to suit different markets and regions.
Though available in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia, the HS is not offered in Malaysia as MG Malaysia is focussing on the MG4 and ZS for now. Both are fully electric models which can be imported and sold duty-free.
