Genesis GV60 Mountain Intervention Vehicle Concept

Genesis, the premium luxury brand of the Hyundai Motor Group (HMG), had a presence at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 in Davos, Switzerland this week. It’s the third consecutive year that the Korean brand has showcased a concept model at Davos, following the X Concept in 2023 and the X Snow Speedium Concept last year.

For this year, it’s the Mountain Intervention Vehicle (MIV) Concept based on the GV60. Appropriate for the setting, the MIV Concept is designed for rescue support tasks in rugged terrain and challenging weather conditions, prioritising occupant safety and mission functionality.

The purpose-built vehicle, inspired by small unit support, has a fully electric drivetrain. This allows it to operate silently, alleviating noise pollution and minimising environmental impact. It also features a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system that allows it to supply electrical power to external devices or equipment.

The MIV Concept comes with snow tracks and features like sports seats. To support mountain rescue operations in extreme conditions, it carries medical supplies and has emergency communication and warning systems. Large carbonfibre fender flares ensure the safety of bystanders and occupants while protecting the vehicle from damage.

To maximise storage, a custom heavy-duty rack has been installed on the roof, while the rear hatch rack incorporates modular attachment points for various equipment.
