For those who want to go further off-road with their Ford Everest, the SUV now gets a Tremor version which has enhanced off-road capabilities. Announced by Ford Australia, the Everest Tremor follows the same approach taken by the Ranger Tremor.
The enhancements for more serious off-road driving are in the suspension and tyres. Bilstein Position-Sensitive Dampers with new springs replace the standard ones, while General Grabber AT3 All-Terrain Tyres provide 26 mm of additional ground clearance compared to the standard Everest.
The Everest also has a Rock Crawl Drive Mode which optimises traction and momentum on loose and rocky surfaces, moving the vehicle forward even in challenging conditions.
Powering the Everest Tremor is the proven 3-litre V6 turbodiesel engine which produces 250 ps/600 Nm to tackle difficult terrain and also pull heavy loads.
To differentiate the Tremor version from the other Everests, the exterior appearance is ‘ruggedized’. There is a distinctive honeycomb grille design with auxiliary LED lamps, a steel bashplate, heavy-duty side steps, and signature Tremor badging. It is available only in Command Grey.
Inside, the SUV has a premium interior with Tremor-embossed leather accented seats, ebony-coloured interior accents, and all-weather floormats to provide a comfortable and stylish cabin environment.
Customers can further personalise their Everest Tremor with a range of factory-fitted options such as a Rough Terrain Pack featuring ARB accessories, a Touring Pack, a Premium Seat Pack, and a Towing Pack.
“The Everest Tremor answers the call from passionate adventurers who demand even more capability and ruggedness from their SUVs,” said Ambrose Henderson, Marketing Director, Ford Australia. “With its unique combination of off-road effectiveness, towing capacity, and premium features, the Everest Tremor is ready to tackle any adventure, on or off Australia’s varied terrain.”
