First ten owners of new Peugeot 408 get their cars

At the recent Malaysia Autoshow 2024, Stellantis Malaysia not only displayed its latest models and models of other brands in the Stellantis Group but also took the opportunity to deliver the new Peugeot 408 to the first owners in Malaysia. Nine of the new owners were invited to the Autoshow site at MAEPS in Serdang to collect their cars which they had booked in mid-April.

A tenth unit of the 408 was also handed over to the French ambassador, Axel Cruau, who (not surprisingly) was impressed by the model and will use it as the official embassy car, Mr. Cruau expressed his admiration for the avant-garde design and innovative technology.

1.6-litre PureTech engine
Assembled in Malaysia at Stellantis’ own plant in Kedah, the 408 is a completely new model with a range of new technologies. At this time, only one powertrain choice is available and that is the PureTech 1.6-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine with an output of 218 ps/300 Nm. The power goes the front wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission.
