Kia’s Tasman pick-up truck will make its global debut at the Jeddah International Motor Show on October 29, 2024.
Although Hyundai Motor has the Santa Cruz truck (based on the Tucson), that’s only for the North American market while the Tasman has been developed by Kia for global markets and is its first modern lifestyle truck.
The Tasman is targeted at markets such as Australia, Africa and the Middle East and will also be sold by Hyundai Motor Group in Korea.
These first teaser images show a conventional truck silhouette but with styling elements that can be found in Kia SUVs as well as the EV9.
The development program for the Tasman has involved 1,777 specific tests conducted over more than 18,000 cycles of evaluation to ensure that it has the toughness to take on all types of terrain. With the all-terrain technology showcased in the recent Telluride, Kia promises impressive off-road capability.
