Facelifted Honda Civic RS to be launched next month

The 11th generation Honda Civic which has been in the local market since 2022 will have a facelift update which will be launched in January 2025. Announcing this today, Honda Malaysia says it will be offered in two RS sedan versions – the e:HEV RS and the RS with just a petrol engine.

The prices have not been announced but the current Civic e:HEV RS is priced from RM167,900 while the Civic RS is priced from RM151,900.

The current 11th generation Civic which has been in the local market since 2022.

Both models will continue to have distinct design elements, with a body-coloured front grille extension and lower grille garnishes for e:HEV RS, while the RS receives black-painted front grille extensions and lower grille garnishes. For the e:HEV RS, there’s a new 18-inch Matte Grey alloy wheel design.

As before, e:HEV RS has an electrified powertrain with Honda’s hybrid electric technology. The 2-litre engine, together with the motor, produces a total output of 184 ps/315 Nm. The RS has a 1.5-litre VTEC engine and with turbocharging, maximum power is boosted to 182 ps, with 240 Nm of torque.

The Civic, like other Honda models, comes standard with Honda SENSING, the advanced driver assistance system package. It has 9 active safety systems to help the driver to be aware of possible dangers and to avoid them. In extreme situations when the driver might not react in time, the brakes will be automatically activated to prevent a collision or reduce its effects.

Owners can also make use of Honda CONNECT, a telematics system which works with a smartphone app for safety, security, and convenience.
