Up to 30,000 vehicles annually
EPMB has spent over RM100 million to construct its assembly plant at the industrial park where Honda Malaysia also set up its plant in 2003. Full utilisation of currently installed capacity is expected to be achieved by the end of 2025, and the plant will then raise the capacity up to 30,000 vehicles annually during Phase 2 of its development. Beyond that, there are plans to manufacture bodies and also advance painting facilities.

Through its facilities in Kulim, Tanjong Malim, Batang Kali, Shah Alam, and Melaka, EPMB has begun localising critical components for GWM vehicles. These include seats, front frame steering, suspension, braking systems, rear axle modules with suspension and braking systems, instrument panels, centre consoles, and interior door trims.

Seats are one of the many items that EPMB manufactures and supplies to various global brands in Malaysia for their vehicles.

“The company is well positioned to meet growing demand, innovate in vehicle manufacturing, and contribute to the localization of Malaysia’s automotive industry,” said Hamidon Abdullah, Executive Chairman of EPMB.
