To give confidence to smart customers planning to buy the EV, smart Malaysia has been busy setting up a charging network as well as collaborating with energy providers to be able to offer more charging locations around Peninsular Malaysia.
The latest locations are at smart dealerships in Glenmarie, Selangor and Ipoh, Perak, as well as Penang. These locations have fast-chargers which mean quicker recharging, with the Penang outlet having a DC supply of up to 120 kW
Other smart dealerships in Alor Setar (Kedah), Setia Alam (Selangor), Johor Bahru and Melaka will also have DC charging stations by the end of this year.
Furthermore, real-time charging point information, including availability status, can be conveniently accessed through the brand’s Hello smart app. Currently, 70% of the 1,400+ public charging points are already integrated into the app. In the near future, EV users will also have the ability to make payments through the app.
