BHPetrol was among the brands of fuel and lubricants which participated in Phase 2 of the Diesel Subsidy program (SKDS 2.0) session recently. Organised by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Costs of Living (KPDN), the event was held at the North Klang Rest Area along the New Klang Straits Highway in Selangor.
A total of 15 transport companies operating the additional 14 types of commercial vehicles under Phase 2 of the program received their SKDS 2.0 Fleet Cards from the KPDN minister. Until May 22, 2024, some 28,000 transport companies have registered for the subsidy program.
Applications for the SKDS 2.0 Fleet Card are still accepted by the ministry, and land public transport companies that are eligible must have their business registered in Malaysia and their vehicles must have valid roadtax. The vehicles eligible under SKDS 2.0 will be permitted to obtain fuel at subsidized rates using the fleet cards issued.
Companies that have received approval from the ministry can make their fleet card applications through preferred oil companies.
