After a lapse of 20 years, Malaysia will be part of the route of the Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR) which will take place from August 11 – 17, 2024. The route for the AXCR has been around Thailand and Indo-China but in 2024, it will run from Thailand and end in Malaysia.
Full details are not available at this time but it is confirmed that there will there will be a Malaysian team participating. This team will be made up of Karamjit Singh (aka ‘The Flying Sikh’) and Saladin Mazlan, both rally veterans. Additionally, Leona Chin will also be with the team.
Expect works teams from TOYOTA GAZOO Racing and Mitsubishi Ralliart also putting in entries in the ASEAN version of the Dakar Rally.
