It’s hard to imagine that it’s already been 17 years since the Nissan GT-R was launched at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. Like the Z, the GT-R was continued by Carlos Ghosn, delighting enthusiasts and Nissan fans around the world.
The Japanese sportscar has endured and with each passing year, improvements have been keep its performance with the times. This evolution continues with the latest versions (known as 2025 models) for the Japanese market which have the Premium Edition T-spec and the Track Edition engineered by NISMO.
It seems that Nissan is throwing everything they can and these two versions get enhancements previously found only with the GT-R NISMO Special Edition. These include high-precision weight-balanced piston rings, connecting rods and crankshafts, said to enhance revving and also speed up turbo spooling.
There will also be exclusive aluminium takumi certification nameplates as well as gold-coloured model numberplates in the engine compartment. The Premium Edition is available with the special new interior colour, Blue Heaven.
