Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport in limited series

Throughout its history of more than 110 years, Alfa Romeo has had a notable presence in motorsports, the brand being representative of Italian sportiness. Paying homage to this memorable history are the new Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport,  with only 450 units to be produced in total for worldwide sale.

In particular, the cars pay tribute to the 6C 1500 Super Sport and its legendary victory at the 1928 Mille Miglia. After a marathon 1,621 kms, the 6C 1500 Super Sport was among 40 of the 82 starters that reached the finish line and for Alfa Romeo, it was the first in a string of 11 victories in the Mille Miglia, a record that will remain unbroken.

Quadrifoglio reinterpreted
To make this special limited series completely unique, and to celebrate the unbreakable bond with the world of racing, the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile has worked on a reinterpretation of the Quadrifoglio, a symbol that has long identified the most extreme performance in the range.

For the first time in over 100 years of the Quadrifoglio’s history, the white background of the triangle that has traditionally framed the green 4-leaf clover with a sharp contrast gives way to black, a colour that gives further boldness and solidity to the iconic coat of arms.

Last year, for its centenary, the Quadrifoglio logo was embellished with a golden frame and the dates (1923 – 2023) that define a century of passion for sports, performance, and racing.

The special features
The demonstrate Alfa Romeo’s constant quest for technical excellence applied to its cars, both for production as well as competition models. The 2.9-litre V6 engine delivers 510 bhp and is combined with the mechanical limited-slip differential that optimises torque transfer and increasing stability, agility and cornering speed.

Besides the new Quadrifoglio logo, there is widespread use of carbonfibre, visible on the roof (Giulia only, Stelvio features a Panoramic Sunroof), in the ‘V’ on the shield and on the rearview mirrors. Behind the burnished 5-hole sports alloy wheels are new, super sporty black brake calipers. They are available in the following liveries: three-layer Etna Red, metallic Vulcano Black, and Alfa White.

The two cars have been developed for lightness, given the use of ultra-light materials for the engine and carbonfibre for the transmission shaft, bonnet, spoiler and side skirts. In the Giulia, the aerodynamics remain active with the carbonfibre front splitter. When activated, it controls the quality of airflow under the vehicle, to increase stability and performance.
