Just in time for the holiday season, Shell Malaysia has introduced the Shell Cafe at its stations around the country this month. Motorists will now be able to enjoy a wider variety of food and drinks while on their balik kampung or holiday journeys.
Signature coffees brewed on-site
While Costa Coffee has been available at the brand’s stations for the past 6 years, Shell Cafes will also serve their own signature farm-to-cup coffees brewed on-site. The baristas are station staff who have acquired the new skills of making coffee.
The Shell Cafe’s signature coffees come with an extra ‘KAW’ that Malaysians love, with a taste of fruity and spicy undertones. The unique coffee blend are composed of Arabica and Liberica beans, sourced and crafted in Malaysia. The rare Liberica beans are said to comprise less than 2% of global coffee production.
Besides classics like Americano, Latte, and Cappuccino, Shell Café also has special offerings such as Dirty Latte and Cokespresso and a range of ice-blended frappes. These will be a great complement to the diverse menu which includes salted egg pastas, gourmet sausages and convenience wraps (with meat-free options).

One-stop centre for motorists
According to Seow Lee Ming, General Manager of Shell Mobility Malaysia, the introduction of Shell Cafe shows how Shell’s commitment remains steadfast—to ensure Shell stations serve as the ultimate one-stop centre for all customer needs.
“As our convenience retail experience evolves, we’re excited to announce the opening of 80 Shell Cafe sites by year-end. Looking ahead to 2024, we aim to expand even further,” she said. “Shell Café promises an integrated and customer-centric experience, offering not only fresh and appealing food and beverages but also a welcoming space for patrons to fulfil their refuelling requirements seamlessly while on the move.”
“Whether you’re a student, a working professional, or a group of friends embarking on a road-trip, Shell Cafe is an experience worth stopping for!” Ms Seow added.
