The latest Ford Ranger has won the model range its third overall title in the 2024 International Pick-up Awards (IPUA). The latest title for 2024 joins awards won by previous generations of the Ranger in 2020 and 2013.
The 2024 title is, however, shared with the latest Volkswagen Amarok which the German carmaker adapted from the Ranger for its own brand. This is also the third time for the Amarok although the other two titles (in 2018 and 2011) were won by the first generation of its own model.
The latest Ranger is manufactured or assembled in Ford factories in Thailand, South Africa, the USA, Nigeria, Argentina, Vietnam and Cambodia. Some of the factories also produce the Amarok for Volkswagen.
The IPUA is part of the International Van of the Year Awards presented by an independent non-profit organization formed by a group of professional light commercial vehicle and urban transport journalists.
