Farewell to the MINI Clubman with Final Edition

As the new generation of the MINI family begins to make its appearance progressively in various markets, the outgoing Clubman is bid farewell and for this, MINI offers its distributors the Clubman Final Edition. Only 1,969 units have been built – the number relates to the year in which the original Clubman was born – and MINI Malaysia has an allocation of 20 units.

The Final Edition combines the specific brand tradition with exclusive design elements, refined materials and exclusive decorative details. An extensive list of unique equipment details includes a front bumper and front grille embellished with a dramatic Shimmer Copper trim.

Highlighting the brand’s racing heritage are exclusive, high-gloss side scuttles on the front fender that showcase the Final Edition signature. This is coupled with the MINI Malaysia Cooper S blade on the grille (also adorned in Shimmer Copper).

Bringing forth equal measures of elegance and edginess, the Final Edition is resplendent in Piano Black design accents from front-to-rear. These provide a charismatic touch to the car’s headlamps, door handles, and exhaust tip. Additionally, there are bespoke 18-inch light-alloy wheels with a 2- tone graphic pattern in Shimmer Copper.

Each car bears the ‘1 of 1969’ badge on its C-pillar and a glistening ‘Final Edition’ on the rear as identifiers of the limited production run of this model.

The spacious interior and unique split rear doors combine functionality in true classic Clubman style. The renowned rea doors open up a spacious cargo area of up to 1,250 litres.

Inside, the array of edition-specific details include the ‘Final Edition’ emblem displayed on the bottom spoke of Nappa leather-wrapped steering wheel. Finished in Leather Dark Maroon, the MINI Yours sport-inspired pique fabric with contrast stitching and piping is featured on the seats. Also present are the Final Edition lasered rivets that come in either Shimmer Copper or Enigmatic Black.

The Final Edition is powered by a proven 2-litre MINI TwinPower Turbo engine which has an output of 192 bhp/280 Nm. That’s enough to propel the car from standstill to 100 km/h in a claimed 7.2 seconds and after going through the ratios of the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, to a top speed of 226 km/h.

Priced from RM318,888 (without insurance), the Final Edition is available in Nanuq White, Melting Silver III or Enigmatic Black. As there are only 20 units, availability of colour choices will presumably be on a first-come, first served basis.

Buyers get a warranty of 4 years with no limit on mileage and also free scheduled maintenance for the first four years of ownership. MINI Malaysia also offers a complimentary Roadside Assistance programme for the first 5 years. This 24/7/365 includes free towing services and other benefits for peace-of-mind motoring.
