Cycle & Carriage (C&C), better known for its association with Mercedes-Benz since the 1950s, has also marketed other automotive brands over the years. These now include Peugeot (which it handled 20 years ago) and Leapmotor. Both are brands in the Stellantis Group and C&C was appointed a dealer in August 2024.
Since then, C&C has been opening outlets representing the two brands and now also has one on Penang island. Both brands are offered at a single location along Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah as part of Stellantis Malaysia’s multi-brand retail approach.
As C&C’s second Peugeot branch and its first Leapmotor branch, this addition marks a significant milestone as C&C is now the sole dealer of these brands on the island. The branch, part of a UNESCO heritage building, is a 3S centre so it offers the full range of sales and aftersales services.
Historic charm
The 7,260-sq. metre showroom can display to 11 vehicles at a time, along with a dedicated vehicle delivery space. Preserving George Town’s historic charm while integrating contemporary design elements that reflect the brands’ different corporate identities, the showroom offers a warm and inviting space.
Besides viewing the actual vehicles, a 3D car configurator offers an immersive and interactive approach to vehicle customisation.
The fully equipped aftersales centre covers 8,704 square feet and has 5 workbays and a dedicated detailing area. For customers bringing in their Peugeot or Leapmotor for service, a cozy lounge complete with F&B and a relaxing space is provided for them to wait in comfort.
