Chery honours Malaysian Paralympians with special event

Chery Malaysia has made a commitment to support Malaysian sports and continuing on this commitment, it recently celebrated Malaysia’s Paralympians to honour their achievements and contributions to sports and inclusivity.

Held at Chery’s showroom in Glenmarie, Selangor, Chery vehicles were handed over to the Paralympians who had purchased them at an exclusive discount. The ceremony brought together the athletes, their families, officials from the Ministry of Youth & Sports and the Paralympic Council of Malaysia as well as Chery representatives for a day of recognition and celebration.

At Chery, we are honoured to stand beside them in their journey, celebrating their victories and supporting their aspirations. We are delighted to host this exclusive delivery of Chery vehicles to Liek Hou and Ziyad of these who had chosen the OMODA E5 and OMODA 5 as their preferred vehicle,” said Michael Chew, Vice-President of Chery Malaysia.

In a special initiative last year, Chery offered Paris 2024 Olympians and Paralympians with an exclusive discount of up to 50% on Chery vehicle purchases.

In 2024, Chery Malaysia organised its first Eco Run. The event, held in Putrajaya, attracted over 3,400 participants.
Stronger involvement in sports
This year, Chery will be working closely with the Malaysian Youth Council to continue a stronger involvement in sports among young adults in the country through a series of activities and projects.

“We are fully committed to deepening our involvement in sports, particularly at the local level, to inspire young and emerging athletes to excel further while also encouraging the public to embrace a healthier and more active lifestyle,” said Mr. Chew.
