DRB-HICOM’s subsidiary, Edaran Otomobil Nasional – better known as EON – today officially opened its dedicated showroom for the Proton e.MAS brand which is starting off with the e.MAS 7 EV as its first model.
The showroom is located at the headquarters complex of EON and includes a delivery area as well as a small service centre.
EON may not be the only star in Proton’s universe today but it is still the brightest star among the dealers. With the largest number of outlets, it naturally still sells a large number of Protons nationwide. Now, drawing on the experience of 40 years, it has also started selling EVs and in just the first month of sales, EON collected the most number of orders for the e.MAS 7.
Furthermore, as a dealer for smart EVs, it has also been very active in sales and according to PRO-NET (Proton’s subsidiary handling the brand), EON also collected the largest number of orders during 2024.
It used to be that an EON showroom had only Proton vehicles but over the past 20 years, the company has diversified its portfolio of brands. This has seen it associated with Mitsubishi Motors (which it is a partner of in Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia), Audi, Volkswagen, Isuzu and Daihatsu.
Each year, EON has a big event at its headquarters complex where it showcases vehicles from the various brands for sale. The event, known as EON & Sahabat Festival of New Beginnings this year, is one this weekend from 10 am to 6 pm and as usual, there will be special offers which save money or include additional ‘goodies’.
