Casio x Honda Racing Collaboration EDIFICE watch

Casio’s EDIFICE line of watches has long been associated with motorsports and has been a sponsor of F1 teams like Scuderia Toro Rosso and later, Scuderia AlphaTauri. It has also been associated with motorsport companies like Honda Racing Corporation (HRC), NISMO and TOM’s.

Periodically, Casio comes out with new EDIFICE models to celebrate the collaboration and the latest addition is the Honda Racing Collaboration Model ECB-2000HR. Based on the brand concept of ‘Speed & Intelligence”, the new watch has been designed in collaboration with HRC.

The collaboration between HRC and Casio EDIFICE, both of which have origins in Japan, has evolved since 2018 out of a shared dedication to leveraging high-tech capabilities in their global pursuits.

The new EDIFICE Honda Racing Collaboration Model employs a tricolour design featuring the red, blue, and white elements of HRC’s livery and logo. Red represents the passion for victory; blue is for advanced technology; and white refers to the affinity with all motorsports fans. The original design for the watch was created under Honda’s supervision.

The three colours are featured throughout the design, including the numeric markings on the carbonfibre bezel, the dial, and the dial ring. English-language engravings on the metal band loop detail the symbolism associated with each colour.

The ECB-2000HR is equipped with Mobile Link features for pairing with a smartphone via Bluetooth, providing automatic time correction and making it easy and intuitive to set world time and other functions when used with the dedicated Casio app for watches.

For practicality and convenience, the Tough Solar charging system converts light from the sun and indoor sources to energy to power the watch, while a double LED light illuminates both the LCD and dial for easier reading, even in dark locations.

Retailing at RM2,199, this new EDIFICE model is now available at Authorized Casio dealers in Malaysia and can also be purchased at Casio’s official website.
