BYD adds M6 MPV to Malaysian range of EVs

BYD Malaysia and its local partner, Sime Darby Motors, continues to expand its EV offerings with the brand’s first MPV model for the market – the M6.

Priced from RM109,800 and RM123,800, the 7-seat M6 is available in 2 versions – Standard and Extended Range.

All versions have BYD’s Blade battery with storage capacities of 55.4 kWh (Standard) and 71.6 kWh (Extended Range).

Both versions M6 have a single motor at the front with 120 kW(163 ps)/310 Nm for the Standard version and 150 kW (204 ps) for the Extended Range. The range is claimed to be up to 530 kms (with larger battery). With the larger battery, a DC supply of 115 kW can recharge from 10% to 80% in 40 minutes.

The first 300 customers who buy a new M6 Extended before 2024 will receive a free home charger. Additionally, the first 1,000 who book the M6 will also get Gentari charging credit worth RM800.
