ACO Tech and Proton open Malaysia’s first automotive digital experience centre

ACO Tech (a company within the Proton Group jointly owned by Altel and ECARX), today opened the country’s first automotive digital experience centre. Known as the Proton Digital Xperience (PROTON DX), the centre is located in Quill City Mall along Jalan Sultan Ismail in Kuala Lumpur. It is open from 10 am to 10 pm and there are no entry fees.

Innovations in auto industry
PROTON DX has been created as a centre for car and technology enthusiasts of all ages who can immersed in the latest innovations in the automotive industry. It also aspires to serve as an engaging platform for Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) education and spark interest in the field among the younger generation.

Within its premises of 5,275 square feet are a blend of interactive technology, leisure, and lifestyle elements in six zones. The main highlight of PROTON DX is the Virtual Cockpit, where visitors can enjoy a virtual drive in an enclosed theatre-like dome to experience smart mobility. In addition to showcasing the latest automotive technologies in the market, the Virtual Cockpit also serves as a platform for conceptual experiences that incorporate future mobility innovations.

There is also the Activity Zone, an interactive space where visitors can enjoy stimulating motion sensing games individually or with family and friends. The Activity Zone will also be utilised as a space for collaborative events that align with the tagline on the wall: ‘Let’s Shape the Future of Mobility’.

Food and beverage is also available at the Aico Cafe and, of course, souvenirs of every visit can be purchased at the Lifestyle Zone. Here, unique active wear and lifestyle merchandise from an ongoing collaboration between PROTON DX and Joma are showcased. This represents the lifestyle component of the greater mobility ecosystem which ties in with connected vehicles and wearable devices. Official PROTON merchandise will also be available at the centre in the future. Do note that all transactions are cashless, so have your e-wallet or credit card/debit card on hand.

Online purchases will also be available on ACO Tech’s ATLAS Auto mobile application. In addition to products on sale in ATLAS Auto app, official merchandise from other brands in the Geely Group such as Lynk & Co and Zeekr are also on display.

New vehicle delivery centre
For those who are taking delivery of their new Proton vehicle, there is also a delivery bay at PROTON DX to make it a special occasion.
