2,200 units of new Honda WR-V delivered nationwide

Since the 1980s, just about every new Honda model launched in Malaysia has sold very well. With some models, waiting periods for customers have even stretched to a year, so great has the demand been.

Another winner
The new WR-V launched last month looks like another winner as well. By the day of its launch, some 2,500 orders had already been received – and the company has set a target of 1,300 units a month.

That’s actually not surprising for a Honda and shows the trust Malaysians have in the brand that they are willing to quickly book one without knowing the final price and specs.

To date, just a month after launch, Honda Malaysia has delivered 2,200 units of the compact SUV to customers nationwide. As with some new models in the past, the company has had a special handover ceremony for early customers. In this case, it was Nurain binti Mohamad, the first customer to register a booking for the WR-V.

Cik Nurain received her new WR-V at Accord Auto Sdn. Bhd., the dealership which handled her purchase. As a gesture of appreciation to commemorate the occasion, she was presented with Honda Accessories, Ultra Glass Body Coating and Official Merchandise worth a total of RM5,000.

The first customer to book the new WR-V is obviously very happy to get her SUV which is the top RS version.

“When Honda Malaysia announced that they were launching the All-New WR-V, I did some research on the SUV and was immediately impressed by its design and features. The model has a young and energetic profile, with a compact design on the outside but still has ample room on the inside. It’s the perfect small SUV that I have been searching for!” she said.

There are 4 variants of the WR-V to choose from, with prices ranging from RM89,900 to RM107,900. Pictured is the SUV with optional Modulo accessories installed.

Expressing gratitude to Cik Nurain as well as all Honda customers for their trust and support for the Honda brand, Hironobu Yoshimura, Honda Malaysia’s Managing Director & CEO, said, “Since its launch, the All-New WR-V has been well accepted in the market and achieved remarkable sales performance. The RS variant is the largest contributor, accounting for 60% of the total sales to date. We are also delighted to share that the WR-V was the second best-selling model in our line-up for the month of July 2023.”
