The Tesla Model Y – which is the world’s best-selling electric vehicle – has been updated for 2025. Referred to as ‘Juniper’, it is available in the Malaysian market in 2 versions – Rear-wheel drive and Long Range, with prices starting from RM195,450 and RM242,450, respectively.
New features include redesigned front and rear ends, newly designed wheels and a rear diffuser. Some features of the Model 3, such as ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and second-row 8-inch touchscreen display for passengers are also available in the new Model Y. Passengers can now adjust the angle or fold down the rear backrests at the press of a button, expanding boot space to provide over 2,130 litres.
Tesla also says that occupants will experience a noticeably quieter cabin with the double-layer glass for all windows, while the large panoramic glass roof has enhanced blocking of UV rays and heat entering the cabin that is claimed to be 7 times better than before.
