After 82 days, a section of Jalan Sultan Ismail in Kuala Lumpur will become a 1-way road again after having been made 2-way on May 1, 2024.
Apparently, feedback and studies during the period when there was 2-way flow between the Jalan Bukit Bintang and Jalan Raja Chulan intersections indicated that the change was not effective.
DBKL said the Cabinet Committee on Road Safety and Traffic Congestion has therefore made the decision to revert traffic flow to what it was before from 12:01 am on Monday, July 22, 2024.
DBKL added that the committee remains committed to addressing traffic congestion in the capital city.
