A new Porsche Experience Centre (PEC), will open in Singapore in 2027, bringing the number of its purpose-built facilities worldwide to eleven. It is the first PEC conceptualised from the onset for both local and regional Porsche customers and fans.
“Porsche is more than just a car – it is a promise for a unique brand and product experience. I am delighted that we are building our 11th such facility in Singapore, an amazing city where innovation and entrepreneurial spirit thrive. It is only natural that we build this new PEC Singapore with these same principles in mind, aiming to create innovative and unforgettable encounters with our sportscars – and, I hope, inspiring and building desirability among younger generations,” said Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG.
“This initiative not only reflects our commitment to delivering our unique brand of exhilaration to customers and fans, but also underlines Singapore’s pivotal role as a gateway to the thriving Southeast Asian market. Yet, even as our region gains prominence in Porsche’s global business, we are dedicated to ensuring that the new Porsche Experience Centre Singapore offers inclusive experiences for the whole family to enjoy,” added Hannes Ruoff, CEO of Porsche Asia Pacific which is based in Singapore.
Ideal location for regional access
The permanent driving-focused facility will be on a 90,000 sq. metre site next to Changi Exhibition Centre, which is often used by car companies for various driving activities. Its proximity to Changi International Airport (just 20 minutes away) and close to the upcoming Aviation Park MRT station along the planned Cross Island Line, provides easy access for those on the island as well as from other parts of Southeast Asia and beyond.
At the heart of the facility will be a dynamic handling track over 2 kms in length. There will also be a high-capacity state-of-the-art aftersales facility – a feature that is integrated in a PEC for the first time. While the PEC will be largely used for driving courses, it is also envisaged to offer a wide variety of inclusive activities for the whole family.
These will include themed exhibitions, periodically-changing display cars from the legendary archives of the Porsche Museum, immersive racing simulators and even a variety of dining options.
EV models in the fleet
Aligned with Porsche’s global commitment to work towards a net carbon neutral value chain of its newly-produced vehicles in 2030, and in line with Singapore Green Plan 2030 aimed at advancing sustainable development, the PEC Singapore vehicle fleet will prominently feature a significant number of zero emission electric vehicles.
The other Porsche Experience Centres
There are currently nine PECs: in Germany (Leipzig, Hockenheimring), Great Britain (Silverstone), France (Le Mans), the USA (Atlanta, Los Angeles), China (Shanghai), Italy (Franciacorta), and Japan (Tokyo). Later this year, the newest PEC in Toronto, Canada will open.
