10,000th locally-assembled Chery vehicle produced after 8 months

Just 8 months after commencing local assembly operations at Inokom Corporation, Chery Auto Malaysia has rolled out its 10,000th unit. The milestone vehicle was a Tiggo 7 PRO, one of the three SUV models currently assembled at the plant in Kulim, Kedah.

Besides the Tiggo 7 PRO, which began deliveries to customers this month, the plant also assembles the Tiggo 8 PRO and OMODA 5. Chery Auto Malaysia has also confirmed that the fully electric OMODA E5 will be assembled locally as well.

Local assembly of the Tiggo 8 PRO at the Inokom plant began in August 2023 (above) and 8 months later, the 10,000th Chery unit has been completed (below). There are currently 3 Chery models assembled at the plant in Kulim, Kedah.

With the increasing demand, thanks to favourable market reception, Inokom has added a second assembly line to boost output and increase production efficiency at the plant.
